The beauty of our Program is that, at any time in the season (not just at the beginning of the season) we are able to perform the initialisation process for each Division time and again, until we are happy with the parameters we have chosen for the Decision Factors Input (DFI). Over the many years we have been using the Program, we have established what we consider are worthwhile initial values for the DFI. Those values can be seen on the detailed screenshots shown on this website, and are what we use in order to determine the weekly outputs that we post on our Soccer-Predictions.com website.
It must be borne mind that wholesale changing of the parameters we ourselves currently use could seriously distort the validity and usefulness of the User’s predicted outcomes compared to what we post on the Soccer-Predictions.com website. We therefore recommend that the User’s changes should be tested one parameter at a time, and the changed parameter only accepted if it gives better results than the parameter we ourselves are currently using for that website’s prediction postings. In this way, better parameters can be identified and incorporated by the User that would gradually give improved results over those we ourselves display on that website.
